Ocean Eco Adventures is Ningaloo Reefs first and only approved eco-friendly Turtle Swimming provider. We are highly regarded for our superior service, which is second to none. All aspects of this business are designed to enrich peoples' lives through the tourist experience and it’s our pleasure to give you the best opportunity to swim with Turtles in style and comfort.

The Ningaloo Reef is famous for many things but the one thing everyone loves to see and swim with is the Turtles. Interacting with Turtles is one of the most heart warming and fun experiences people of all ages and abilities can have.

The fun won’t stop with Turtles as we often swim with many more of the Ningaloo’s locals. Manta Ray’s often make regular appearances and between September and November the Humpback Whale Watching is divine.  All with one of the most pristine coral reefs in the world as a spectacular back drop.

THE TOUR

Latitude 22 Departs Exmouth Marina at 8am and returns at 3pm and Complimentary Transfers are available.

Turtles are some of the most popular creatures to swim with around the world. Ocean Eco Adventures is Ningaloo Reef’s first and only approved eco-friendly Turtle Swimming provider. Enjoy a cruise to remote locations as part of a relaxing day aboard the beautiful custom built 20m vessel Latitude 22. We will be on the search for Turtles, Manta Rays and other marine life. The snorkelling sites are rarely snorkelled and showcase the pristine Ningaloo Reef and it’s residents. Be treated to gourmet food, lots of fun and education about Exmouth and the Reef.

WHO CAN TAKE PART

We encourage swimmers of a wide range of ages and abilities to take part in this tour. Or if you don’t feel up to swimming stay on board and enjoy the action from above. Our vessel is well equipped and has the safest and easiest access in and out of the water. We do provide coaching and flotation aids for those less experienced, however as a minimum all passengers must be able to swim and snorkel. Varying weather conditions can affect some people’s ability to take part in the tour and passenger safety and comfort is our number one priority.

HOW MANY TURTLES WILL YOU SEE

Each and every day is different and when working with wild animals we can’t guarantee that there will be Turtles at any one location at any given time.  We do however have the ability to operate in many different locations from the Exmouth Gulf to the famous Ningaloo Reef, which allows us the opportunity to find the best conditions and increase the likelihood of interacting with Turtles. Turtles are more abundant in nesting season from November to March. Our qualified in-water guides will give you some top tips on how to have the best chance to safely and successfully interact with these beautiful creatures.

The duration and quality of the interactions is dependant on the conditions, conduct of swimmers and the willingness of each Turtle to be a part of our tour.

In most cases if Turtles are scarce or conditions are not favourable, we will resume the search and try a different location.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

We recommend you bring more personal items such as a camera, hat, towel, swimmers, dry change of clothes,

and warm clothes in the cooler months.
